I had the hat of my literal dreams made, and I am THRILLED to wear it to the show tonight! I have searched for and dreamed of a 1940s olive hat for myself, and when I couldn’t find it, I reached out to Cheeky Hats, who made this gorgeous piece for me. I could not be happier with the results!

How it works

There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a client wearing something they co-created with me. So, let’s have a look at how this can become a reality.

Step 1: Discuss your idea. This is a free consultation, with no obligation to place an order. We will have a chat about your vision/needs in detail and explore options together. We can do this in person (London), via email or video call.

Step 2: Choose a design, materials and trims. I will come up with a proposal based on your needs and budget, send you a preliminary sketch/photo and wait for your feedback.

Step 3: Confirm your order. If you are happy to proceed, we will take measurements, agree a price and a delivery deadline. There will be a 50% non-refundable deposit, to cover the cost of purchasing materials and trims. These are always sourced from the best suppliers in the market in the UK.

Step 4: Making your hat. Depending on your chosen design it can take between 1 to 6 weeks to produce the hat. When the hat is semi-finished, I will send you pictures and updates so that we can make small adjustments if needed. If you live in London, we can arrange a fitting in my studio. I have also worked with many international clients remotely, so don’t worry if we can’t meet in person.

Step 5: Shipping and delivery. When the hat is ready to be shipped, I like to send a video showing you how to wear it and how to care for it. A commissioned hat is for life!

Step 6: Final payment. Once you receive the hat, I will wait to hear your final feedback before we settle the final payment. Because of the frequent contact that we would have had by this point, I am confident that the moment you will meet your new hat you will be delighted.

Returns: In the unlikely scenario that the hat doesn’t fit your needs, you will be able to return it to me without settling the final payment. You will need to use the same packaging, and cover the cost of shipping. I will retain your deposit to cover the cost of materials, packaging and shipping.

I hope I have given you a useful overview of the process from ideation to delivery. Book a free consultation below, and let’s make your idea come to life!
