If you have an idea in mind and would like me to help you make it come to life, please get in touch. I am always happy to hear from fellow hat lovers.

I had the hat of my literal dreams made, and I am THRILLED to wear it to the show tonight! I have searched for and dreamed of a 1940s olive hat for myself, and when I couldn’t find it, I reached out to Cheeky Hats, who made this gorgeous piece for me. I could not be happier with the results!

Olive TuPartie, New York.

How it works

First of all, don’t let the cost of a hat worry you. I can work with whatever budget you are able to afford; what really counts for me is that you will be able to wear a special piece that means a lot to you (and me). There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a client wearing something they co-created with me. So, let’s have a look at how this can become a reality.

Once I receive your initial message, we will discuss and explore options together. To get a better idea of what you have in mind, I may ask you to send me some pictures of your face (so I can study shapes that will flatter you), and of outfits that you may be considering to wear your hat with. We can do this in person, via email or video call.

I will then investigate possible designs, materials and trims. I usually send a preliminary sketch of the hat that I think will suit your needs, and wait for your feedback. If you are happy to proceed, we will take measurements, agree a price and a delivery deadline. You will also pay a 50% non-refundable deposit, to cover the cost of purchasing the materials.

Starting from this point, it usually takes me 4-6 weeks to produce the hat. I will send you pictures and updates when the hat is semi-finished so that we can make small adjustments if needed. If you live in London, we can arrange a fitting in my studio if necessary. But I have worked with clients remotely too, so don’t worry if we can’t meet in person.

When the hat is ready to be shipped, I like to send a personalised video showing you how to wear it and how to care for it. A commissioned hat is for life!

Once you receive the hat, I will wait to hear your final feedback before we settle the final payment. Because of the frequent contact that we would have had by this point, I am confident that the moment you will meet your new hat you will be delighted! I will also be eager to see you wearing it, so please don’t forget to send me pictures.

I hope I have given you an idea of the process from ideation to delivery of your unique hat; do feel free to contact me via the form below if you want to discuss any ideas.
